The Philippines and Filipinos in the Eyes of a K...

The following happened during a gathering attended by persons of various nationalities including South Koreans, Filipinos and others. It was primarily a social gathering held at a private residence, however, for one listening close enough to the conversation, other subjects could be heard being talked about. All was well, as far it concerned me, until a Korean male, (he doesn’t deserved to be called a gentleman) for whatever reasons and, definitely off tangent, proceeded to make comments that I thought were unprovoked but were insensitive, socially incorrect and what I considered insulting. These are what I overheard him say:
“The Philippines is very poor country. The people are ignorant, eat with their hands, looks and smell dirty.”
“All they want is money”. “Give them chance and they steal everything.” “The women they pretty but nothing but thieves.” “The streets very dirty, smell bad and dangerous, beggars all over.” “The police, they all thieves, too.”

Having heard enough, I intended to join the conversation, however, the host, a 3rd-generation Japanese-American, a long-time and a very good friend, saw what was about to happen and strongly persuaded me to accompany him to the backyard to see his new bonsai collection. I did not say a word but just looked at my friend in the eyes. My friend’s unspoken word was loud and clear: Not now!

I do not consider myself a strongly patriotic Filipino. But, despite my allegiance to another country, I will not and cannot stand by the side and allow another person of whatever nationality berate the country of my birth. I’ve been to Korea many times and have formed my own opinions about what I saw there, but that gives no reason to talk down Korea and Koreans in a general sense. What that Korean “big-mouth” said about the Philippines and the Filipinos is downright insulting. And, you know what? Not one of the the 3 Filipinos in the conversation said anything – just smiled and shrugged. Whether they are being proper or too afraid say anything is a matter of opinion.

The next time you see a Korean in whatever part of the Philippines you are, just think what the individual is thinking. I’m not saying they are all the same as “big-mouth” here, but doesn’t it give one something to think
about.

As for me persnally? As my own way of protesting,I will not set foot in another Korean-owned business establishment and hope to run into big-mounth somewhere where we can have a one-on-one conversation. I am serious abou this.

Good that we agree on this one.
"Besides that what he said is true!"
Really? You must not be a Filipino, or one who lives outside of the Philippines.
"Filipino woken are mostly prostitutes or massage girls" This is direspectful, to say the least. So, in other words, it is acceptable for all Filipinos to be bundled as maids, domestic help, as you alluded to, lowlifes. I wonder if they may also be thinking about mothers... yours, for example.
"the men cheat and steal, so do the women and kids".
So, the Filipinos are bunch of degenerates?
"The top business men too steal (taxes)"
They do that because people let them.
"so what did you feel bad about?"
The fact that Filipinos are being bad-mouthed by someone who's no better.
"Am glad your friend took you to the backyard else you would have made a bigger fool of yourself and all the countrymen."
A Filipino trait? Let someone else speak and do the fighting. Is the Philippines a country of cowards, people who has no pride in themselves?
"Koreans provide jobs in Philippines , they help the economy and take care of the ladies on Burgos and Angeles and malate( the list is endless)"
Get down on you knees, you Flip and lick my shoes. A case of 'not biting the hands that feeds you.'
"So next time, take a deep breath before you open your mouth in front of a Korean."
You do what you want to do, Troy. I will not put up with anyone putting me or my friends down.
"What you should feel angry about thar Aquino is about to become a dictator, the economy is on a downswing and the govt is busy settling personal scores,"
I'm not a political person, however, allow me to say this: Filipinos voted him into office. That's a decision they have to live with.
"Prostitution is on an all time high."
Then, no need for Filipinos to go elsewhere to find jobs. This should make the Koreans happy - there's an abundant supply of brown meat. It's a vicious circle, isn't it?
"Now sleep well." You betcha, I will. You do, too.

This Korean is dumb, tactless and arrogant...it is very hard to succeed in life when you have all of these character flaws combined. ; ) This is disgusting behavior, and ignorant. It's my opinion someone should have told him this!

As soon as someone starts characterizing all people as "bad," they are heading down the wrong path. People are people, no matter what part of the world, and everyone is unique.

In my opinion, I think you should forgive the Korean people for this one bad person. It would not be fair to punish all Koreans because of this one ignorant man. Every country has a percentage that will be idiots. I used to have a business next to an upscale children's clothing store that was run by a Korean woman -- she was one of the nicest people I've ever known, and she used to always cook extra Korean food and bring it over to share for lunch. It might be unfair to stop going to her business, because of this one other jerk, right?

The women they pretty

Well, at least he got one thing right! ; )

Then, perhaps, it's time for the Filipinos to stand up to a Korean bad-mouthing the country and its people, to let it be known how they feel instead of just being a passive listener or witness to the insults.

Even if koreans or any other natonalities gives us jobs.,they dont have the **** right to do these things to filipinos.,in fact those people who gives filipinos jobs should be the one thankful to us because they will not find anywhere in the globe people like filipinos whos is hardworking, caring, loyal, and trustworthy.

"Koreans provide jobs in Philippines"

just because they do would that mean we'll just allow them to treat us like morons or something.,., i mean filipinos are being treated like that all over the world and we are just letting them because they feed us?.,.,no we should start standing up and fight for our right as equal people living in this world...,they should be thankful because there alot of filipino who is welling to do their dirty jobs for them.,

to Troy---are you really a filipino???
tamaan ka cguro sa sinabi ni rizal.,.
malansa ka pa sa bilasang isda.,.:D

I used to admire korean because i love watching their dramas.. But then who the **** give them the right badmouth Filipinos and i mean generally like all of us are beggars and smelly. The faggot should be taken out from that party and tell him straight to his ****ing face that he is in our country the Philippines and what give him the right not to respect Filipinos..Those ******* think he is better than us when he cannot even stand living on his country.. So what if they provide some of us jobs that faggot should be thankful because if they hire their fellow ignorant korean no one will ever step into those business because they can't even utter an English word how can they even entertain their customers for that reasons..
If i was in that party i'll invite those ******* outside and tell him straight how ignorant and rude he was..!!!!

The Korean is a racist of the worst kind. If TroyPinoy is really from the Philippines, that is sad, too. It can only be described as "self hatred."

I'm not a violent guy, but if this Korean got a bloody nose every time he said something like this, then he would probably stop saying such things.

I'd rather drown and die than be sustained by some so called gods that treated us like trash. Eventhough they gave us job that doesn't mean that we should just let it be as long as they feed us. We can feed ourselves! In fact our country did something inspirational for them to continue democracy in their place and we even help their asses in the Korean war. We have done everything to help others up until our very downfall due to this blasted corruption. I don't care they provide us with job but if they give us disrespect I would say " NO THANKS!" to them and find a job on my own. I don't hate all Korean, I have Korean friends and they're fun to be with. I'm just pissed off about some foreigner just insulted us and then a local, instead of defending us, end up defending the other side and would tell us that they feed us and we do nothing but to smile and let them insult us whatever they want. Why? Do you want us to smile and let ourselves be a big bunch of brainless fools as the world make fun of us? That's kinda bit stupid, doncha think?

And why is that Mr. Troy Pinoy? are you really sure you are actually a true filipino? First of all, their are Filipinos who are successful on their lives without the help of anybody. If you want to be mistreated by some Racist korean just so to provide you food, I surely pity you. You're like a damn prostitute that would let anybody touch you just for money, you have no decency or respect towards your race or yourself. You think just because we Filipino are all nice and down to earth does that mean we should be treated this way? I think you're some damn Korean in disguise showing I'm all Filipino and yet can't even defend his own country. Don't you even ****ing forget that we helped Koreans a long time ago when they are still on the verge of poverty after the Korean war and expect nothing in return and we never disrespect any of them, Yes, some Filipinos are born to be racist but in majority cases, we never do racial discrimination. What kind of society that would let ourselves be disrespected by just some damn meat? We have our own meat and we don't need any of their's. You're downright pathetic just to sell us to the Koreans in desperate for money, I think we are not desperate to insult ourselves for money, I think you do. You no respect coward. If our government stops sending OFW around the world, do you think their will be no changes on that country who has OFWs? WRONG!!! Almost every ****ing badass building in Dubai was created by some high class construction workers that are ordinary citizens here in the Philippines. And Korea can't afford English to any country but here! We educate them English, we give them anything right from the very start of them establishing Korea since Philippines was way ahead of them us industrial superpower in Asia before corruption started to infect the whole country. We give them what they need even if it means moral support, we provide them OFW and high class workers to work for them and for their country, we help them sharpened their English for their future reference. They only give us jobs, GOD!!! We can find our own jobs here with or without Koreans, *******! Koreans and Filipinos are now even! Do you think we are as low life as you think? hahaha. How pathetic and you even call yourself a "Pinoy" well, if you really are. You still think that Filipinos should deserve to be insulted as long as those bastards insult us? Then, why not sell yourself and be enslaved by them just for some stupid meat you no self respect bastard, see how you feel about it? Oh my God, why do we have ****s in the society? Society is already ****ed up.

Well!!!!!Well!!! Learn to respect others. You have to learn to behave properly and do not judge other people by your own standards. Maybe you will be surprise if a rich European man or woman look down on you and calls you "yellow stupid Monkey" or "****ing **** trying hard" or dumb in English," How will you feel? I know that there are some Caucasians who hate "almond eyes people" like you and maybe some Americans will laugh at your funny accent. Learn to respect someone.

Take advantage of sales. Coach Factory Outlet Many times, you may not want to splurge on items from the latest Coach Factory collection of a designer simply because that is when it will cost the most. You may Louis Vuitton UK wonder, "well, by the time it's on sale won't it be out of style?" The answer is yes and no. The key here is to shop for items that are more Louis Vuitton classic in style and not trendy. Trendy items come and go like the wind, while classic Louis Vuitton UK styles stick around. Sometimes though, if you opt to purchase a trendy item on sale, it may spill over into the next season. important thing to Louis Vuitton Outlet remember is to pick a trend that is not too over the top.

yes most of us are poor, yes our country is dirty, yes our country is not that progressive, and yes he can say those words but saying those words in front of Filipinos and the fact that they are here in Philippines is not right and disrespectful.
