Power Plant Mall

Power Plant Mall

Tucked in the exclusive Rockwell Center in between Hidalgo and Amorsolo streets is Makati’s premiere shopping and entertainment area, the Power Plant Mall. The upscale Mall provides a one-of-a-kind luxurious experience for discriminating shoppers.

Power Plant Mall is so named for the four-story complex which sits in the exact spot where a thermal power plant used to be. The Mall complex houses prominent international and local brands of lifestyle retailers, specialty boutiques for adults and children, watch and jewelry stores, a bookstore, a supermarket, high-tech cinemas, a bowling alley, a home depot, appliance center, fast-food chains, coffee shops, themed restaurants, barber shop and more. Power Plant Mall is a high-end almost- one-stop-shopping mall.

There are over 200 retailers and eateries at Power Plant. The Mall exudes exclusivity as in addition to its quite pricey retailers, no public transport plies the route. Though the mall is within walking distance from the main thoroughfare of Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA) and J.P. Rizal Street, the percentage of commuters “malling” in Power Plant is small. There is, however, a shuttle ride to Power Plant accessible at the corner of EDSA and Estrella Street.

The ambiance at Power Plant is relaxed, refined and classy. There is no throng of loud and rowdy shoppers that one is liable to bump into. There is no sense of rushing and scuttling to and from store to store as the live and soothing piano music kind of sets the pace.

It is a common sight to see cafés and restaurants filled with customers after shopping or the movies. Power Plant is a stone’s throw away from the gated and exclusive Bel-air Village and the four high-rise residential condominiums in Rockwell Center.
